LID TEAM UPDATES & ANNOUNCEMENTS

The fourth graders in Mrs. Nicolary's class reviewed commonly used literary terms by completing an Escape Room.  Students worked hard to crack codes and figure out patterns, all having to do with literary terms they had covered in class.  Once they figured out the code words by correctly completing each station, they entered them into a google form and finally escaped!

In 6th-grade Computer Science with Sharmila Misra students have been engaged in learning about Design Thinking as a framework for solving problems. Students are currently prototyping a name tag for their users, another student in the class, for which they are gearing up to get feedback from.

INNOVATIVE TOOL, TIP OR STRATEGY

Enjoy this brief (3:51) TED Talk on the Technology of Storytelling. Your LID Team's job is to amplify, empower and celebrate the innovative and inspiring ways you stretch yourselves and your students daily. Technology is one way this happens and hopefully this talk offers some potential ideas for how you can amplify the voices in your classrooms further. Enjoy!
